Let the Rain Set You Free, a poem (DSC8891)

Let the Rain Set You Free

Torrential downpour
Nothing spared the rain
Silver waterfall of tears
God’s way of cleansing all
Washing away all habits, conditioning

Let go
Release yourself to the rain
Surrender to its magical touch
Set all memory behind you
Let the rain set you free

By Don Iannone, a poet and a very precious friend
August 26, 2008.

This was taken a few seconds before we were hit by that heavy monsoon rain, when I had to run with the camera under my t-shirt to my car parked about 200 meters away.
